Review: Raspberry Limeade

Posted: Aug 11, 2006 at 12:00 AM (Last Updated: Aug 15, 2006 at 11:12 AM)
Raspberry Limeade was the first flavor of Phat Phruit that we sampled. As far as functional beverages go, this product has a flavor that is on par with a juice cocktail. The raspberry and lime flavor is sweet with tart and tangy notes throughout. Overall, a drinkable flavor that will most likely appeal to a younger demographic. From a technical point of view, it's impressive that this product has only 40 calories and 10g of carbs per serving -- you really cannot taste the artificial sweeteners that have been used. As for the packaging, the red and green colors are bright and pop out at you, plus the urban style label is good, but the plain white cap cheapens the look a bit. Small tweaks aside, we were quite pleased with this product.
