rageAID: Teabagger

Rageaid “Teabagger” is a non-carbonated energy drink that comes packaged in a 16 oz. can. The product is iced tea flavored, with an iced tea flavor that’s on par with some of the big brands that come packaged in a can. That said, it’s enjoyable, but it’s certainly not going to blow anyone away with its tea flavor. The formulation is sweetened with ace-k, sugar, and sucralose, which gives it a low calorie profile (25 per can) but still maintains a decent level of sweetness. Functionally, the product has electrolytes and energy drink ingredients, including B vitamins, taurine, and caffeine. The branding of the product is where things come undone, with the name Teabagger being something that is juvenile and repulsive (perhaps it has a different meaning in Canada where the drink comes from). In any event, it’s something that is neither appetizing nor helps lure in consumers (unless they are purchasing purely for shock value). Sadly, this ruins the experience for what was otherwise a product that had pretty nice execution.
