Revive Kombucha: Free Ride - Hibiscus Brew - 16 oz

Formerly known as the “Red” variety of Revive Kombucha, Free Ride utilizes a hibiscus flower kombucha culture that imparts a fruity and floral flavor to the product. It’s definitely one of the more easy drinking kombucha beverages that we’ve had, with minimal fermented flavor and a pleasant amount of carbonation and sweetness behind it. It’s a really well put together product that is in the upper tier of kombucha drinks out there. And of course, the bottle contains live probiotics (the functional part of kombucha). Visually, we really like the look of the brand and the 16 oz. returnable swing top bottle, especially with the new design. This one feels like it got the biggest upgrade of any of the original flavors, with a slick looking red label that has a surf theme. The illustrations are clean and appealing, with a style that looks like something that belongs on a craft beer. That seems like a nice parallel place to borrow some design ideas, especially since Revive has a draft kombucha business as well. Plus, the name “Free Ride” is vastly superior to “Red.” All in all, a big step up from the old version.
