Stumptown Coffee Roasters: Winter Cheer

Stumptown Winter Cheer is a limited-release flavor that’s part of the company's ready-to-drink cold-brew coffee line. Like its other dairy-blended product, this one comes packaged in a 16 oz. milk carton. The base flavor is very much that of Stumptown coffee with added milk and a touch of sugar. To make it a holiday flavor, Stumptown has enhanced it with mulling spices, including cinnamon, orange peel, cloves, and allspice. These added ingredients work quite nicely with the cold brew, giving it another layer of flavor that is definitely unique as far as coffee drinks go. We especially like the added orange peel, which adds a nice note to the finish. On the outside, we like how the company has executed the design of the product. We’re big fans of Stumptown's milk carton packaging and how the company has taken a very subtle approach to making this a holiday flavor. Instead of snowflakes or any of the standard holiday graphics, Stumptown has simply added red bars at the top and bottom of the front panel along with the words “WINTER CHEER.” On a store shelf, it was actually quite easy to differentiate this flavor between the original. Overall, we like the idea of a seasonal cold-brew flavor and Stumptown has done with this product.
