This flavor of Suja’s Probiotic Water combines sweet, citrus, and spice to create something that’s complex and quite flavorful. Made with a USDA Organic blend of water, pineapple juice, lemon juice, probiotics and cayenne, the beverage makes novel use of by-product derived from the formulation Suja’s juice products. Despite being a water and having only 3 percent juice and 10 calories, there’s a somewhat hefty note of pineapple that almost immediately hits your palate. A sharp note of lemon follows, while the spice of the cayenne provides a nice finishing note. All in all, this is an extremely drinkable and thirst-quenching product. In addition to having enjoyable flavor and being low-calorie, the product has 2 billion added probiotic CFUs per bottle. While that’s certainly a bonus, the flavor and low-calorie profile seem like the more marketable aspects of the product. Visually, the product has a vibrant label and a sharp-looking design. However, it looks a lot like Suja's juice products. While this product is sold exclusively in Target, away from Suja's flagship juice line, it still seems like it could create a bit of confusion with consumers who are familiar with the brand. Making it look a bit more water like might help things out. Regardless, we definitely feel as though there’s an opportunity for an infused water offering from Suja -- and this is a very well-executed flavor.
