Review: TANGY

Tangy is a blend of pear, cucumber, lemon, organic aloe vera juice, and flax oil. Its name is a very accurate descriptor of the product, with almost no sweetness found in the mix. While each of the ingredients are distinguishable from the mix, it's the heavy lemon finish that really takes over and provides the mainstay of the flavor. The resulting blend is really quite refreshing, but it's lack of sweetness could be an issue for some consumers. Added flax oil and aloe vera juice are presumably there for their health benefits, but there's nothing listed on the label (there isn't even a nutrition panel). Vibrant Juices' Tangy is visually plain and simple, which is how one could really describe all of the flavors that make up this brand. That's not really an issue if they're just doing local delivery, but if its retail they are eventually after they'll need to rethink this strategy. Fortunately, the branding itself seems like something that could be a nice foundation for a more developed design (they've used the brand pretty nicely on their website, for example). Overall, it's a nice-tasting product, but we wish that the design of the packaging got a little more attention.
