Review: Orange Tangerine (Extra-C)

Water Plus’ Extra-C variety was the first flavor that we picked up. Most likely this was due to the orange color, which, we must admit, whetted our appetite as soon as we saw it. The flavor is sweet, but crisp, with a mild vitamin-like flavor rounding things out. At 50 calories and 13g of carbohydrates per serving, this is comparable to Glaceau Vitaminwater in terms of its nutritional makeup. Fortunately, they’ve managed to give the brand some personality of its own. The USDA organic certification is a plus, but more important is the vertical Water Plus logo, which emits vibes of “functionality” to the consumer. We’re never huge fans of vertical text, but at least they’ve made all of the front label text vertical, which saves the consumer from having to flip the bottle back and forth to read it. Overall, a good effort that feels original in terms of its appearance and is refreshing from start to finish.
