BevNET Review
The concept behind Zpirit Infuzed Water is something that we haven’t seen before: add fruit chunks to a flavored water. In this particular case, this comes in the form of small mandarin orange chunks. The liquid inside the bottle doesn’t really seem to have much benefit from this. Instead, we taste something that’s clearly going for low-calorie (it has 30 per bottle), with notes of flavorings, mint, stevia and sugar. From our perspective, it tastes like a reduced-calorie juice cocktail more so than it tastes like an infused water (the company will need to dial down the sweetness if it wants to correct this). Ultimately, we feel as though the taste could be improved and that the fruit chunk is somewhat of a gimmick as opposed to something that really enhances the drinking experience. Unfortunately, there feels like there’s a lot of work to be done on the outside as well. This product will compete with more strongly branded products and we feel strongly that Zpirits need to up its game when it comes to the design and the brand. It has a pretty generic looking visual treatment to it, while the use of “Z” in both Zpirit and Infuzed Water seems a bit cliche. Overall, it’s definitely a unique concept, but the product’s execution definitely needs to be reimagined.
