The newly named Las Vegas Xenergy Open will bring together some 40 tennis players, ranging in age from 21 to 72 years old, competing in five divisions at the Darling Tennis Center in the Summerlin are of Las Vegas on November 23 and 24.

The only wheelchair tennis event in Nevada, it draws competitors from Nevada, California, Arizona, Utah, Idaho and beyond. The event is part of Keep It Simple – Make It Fun (KISMIF), a non-profit that supports disabled activities for physically disabled athletes.
“Our tournament is the only one in the state that brings together some of the best players on the West Coast,” said Frank Vandekerckhove, tournament director for Las Vegas Wheelchair Tennis. “It is always fun to hang out with disabled athletes with similar active interests, where disability is never mentioned, only the athlete’s performance. Without the financial support of Xyience, a tournament would not be possible.”
