Natural Products Expo West 2023’s innovation extended deep into the juice, shots, lemonade and kids drink categories – sometimes combining several of those categories into one! In this gallery, we take a look at some of the new product launches debuting at the show.
Shine Water
With Vitamins B, D and zinc, Shine Water has released its zero sugar, better-for-you enhanced waters in kids pouches available via 8-packs. Flavors include Watermelon Blackberry, Mixed Berry Acai, Strawberry Lemon and Fruit Punch. Not pictured: special edition boxes featuring characters from the Dreamworks Trolls movies.
KOR
Juice shots aren’t just for adults anymore. KOR Shots has added a KOR Kids line in 1.7 oz. bottles. CEO Jordan Retamar said he was inspired to create the line by becoming a father himself and the shots are intended to slot nicely into a school lunch bag. With Orange, Apple and Dragonfruit Elderberry flavors, the shots contain Vitamins C and D, probiotics and omega-3’s.
Swoon
Better-for-you lemonade maker Swoon has created a promotional flavor tied to the release of the upcoming Barbie film – Barbie-Pink Lemonade. The 12 oz. cans feature the logo for the classic Mattel-owned doll brand and the drink contains zero sugar.
Kiddiwinks
Kiddiwinks debuted its canned plant-based milks for kids in Vanilla and Chocolate flavors. The milks are made with oats, chickpeas and chicory root.
Uncle Matt’s
Uncle Matt’s has been a constant innovator in the juice category and at Expo West the Florida-based company debuted three new 52 oz. offerings: Lemon Honey Gingerade, Dragonfruit Lemonade and Superfruit Punch, the latter two containing no added sugar. The drinks are intended to provide parents with a healthier, guilt-free option to serve their kids in the morning and afternoon.
Uncle Matt’s (Continued)
It’s not just multiserve juices that Uncle Matt’s is tackling. The brand also announced new organic powdered drinks with two of its latest flavors, the Dragonfruit Lemonade and Superfruit Punch.
Suckerpunch Gourmet
Pickle brand Suckerpunch is expanding its pickle juice shot line with a new spicy Exhilarating Pepper flavor, which joins its Dill and Ginger varieties. The new shot was modeled after the brand’s spicy pickles SKU from its core line.
Proper Wild
Apple, Lemon Lime and Strawberry Kiwi joined the lineup as the latest flavor innovations at plant-based energy shot brand Proper Wild.
Garden of Flavor
Garden of Flavor’s Cold-Pressed Energy line has received a packaging update, now featuring callouts for specific functionalities among other visual tweaks.
Gunna
U.K.-based canned sparkling lemonade brand Gunna, which was founded in 2017, has launched in the U.S. with accounts in New York. Its 12 oz. can lineup includes Ginger, Raspberry, Tropical and Lime lemonade flavors.
Vive Organic
Following its merger with fellow shots maker Suja, Vive Organic introduced new flavors at Expo West including Citrus Coconut Electrolytes + Immunity, Kiwi Apple Supergreens Detox + Immunity, and Pineapple Ginger Digest + Immunity.
Suja
For those who need a more direct caffeine boost from their shots, Suja has added a line of organic 2 oz. Coffee Energy Shots made with MCT oil and L-Theanine.
ZICO
Broadening its offerings outside of traditional coconut water, ZICO Hydrate is a 30% coconut water beverage targeting the better-for-you sports drink category. Now in PET bottles, the line includes Tropical, Fruit Punch and Coconut Lime varieties, providing the company with more offerings for the “Coco-Not” consumer who avoid the polarizing flavor of coconut water.
Kokomio
Mexico-based Kokomio has introduced a refrigerated premium coconut water line. The organic beverages are available in 8, 16 and 32 oz. bottles and contains just 4 grams of sugar per serving.
Aqua ViTea
Fee fi fo fum – Vermont’s Aqua ViTea teased a look at Tim Tam Tummy, its canned kombuchas for kids with flavors like Grape Day to Shine and Apple Happy Dance, packed with probiotics and Vitamin C.
