WHAT: Since launching in October 2023, Hardly Water has burst the bubble on the Chicago beverage scene with their full flavored, low calorie, spiked still water beverage (5%). Their all-natural beverage is carbonation and chemical free utilizing a natural sugar brew base made from fermented cane sugar and natural flavors – leaving out sulfates and chemical preservatives. 

During their initial growth phase, founders Tonya Romin and Jason Therrien made a strong strategic decision to partner with Chicago natives and industry veterans, Andrew Landan and Jon Landan (aka “The Landan Twins”.) Since joining the team in the fall of 2023, the Landan Twins have earned minority ownership by spearheading initial and ongoing account growth, producing large-scale events like the October Launch Party, building a robust social media presence, developing charitable partnerships and working alongside the founders as advisor, spokesperson and influencer endorsers.

Jon is an expert marketing professional in the restaurant, bar and nightclub industry for over 25+ years in Chicago. He joins the Hardly Water team in marketing as a partner. His diverse career includes directing marketing strategies for Hyatt Hotels, Phil Stefani Signature Restaurants and Rockit Ranch Productions to name a few. Jon serves on many charity boards, specifically the board of directors for 20+ years of Chicago Gateway Green exemplifying his commitment to Illinois community impact.

Andrew brings dynamic expertise and entrepreneurial spirit to the Hardly Water team as a Marketing Partner. Andrew has created a thriving hub for networking in the Chicago advertising community through his diverse work experience over the years with Mijenta Tequila, FOX, Hearst Corporation, AOL Time Warner, Kelly, Scott & Madison, Inc. and founding The Chicago Interactive Social Club, INC. (CISC) in 2010.

The goal in creating this beverage was not just to build a better beverage, but to give back to our communities through partnership with local non-profit organizations as they grow.

The addition of the Landan Twins’ experience coupled with the founders’ background in community engagement, CPG and sales strategy and new product development, continue elevating the brand’s growth and community advocacy initiatives.
