DENVER, CO—Ironton Distillery is proud to announce its designation
as Colorado State University (CSU) 's preferred whiskey and the launch of CAM's
1870 Straight Single Malt Whiskey, a special collaboration celebrating CSU’s rich
heritage. This exclusive release supports CSU Athletics, the CSU Alumni
Association, and the Fermentation Science Program, making CAM’s 1870 a whiskey
that truly embodies Ram Pride.
Named in honor of CSU’s founding year, and bottled at 87 proof, CAM’s 1870 is a true
collaborative effort. Members of CSU Athletics, CSU Alumni, and the Fermentation
Science Program were actively involved in tasting and selecting barrels, designing the
label, and launching the product. This collective process ensured that CAM’s 1870
reflects the pride, tradition, and excellence that define the Ram community.
“We’re excited to work with CSU to create a whiskey that celebrates the Ram legacy,”
said Laura Walters Co-Founder & Head Distiller of Ironton Distillery. “We’ve crafted a
whiskey that not only honors CSU’s heritage but also gives back to the university in a
meaningful way.”
