Bottle Raiders, the world’s largest and most-trusted spirits review site, app and events business, founded by entrepreneur and media personality Dan Abrams, recently announced the launch of the first-ever AI-powered app that makes critic ratings and reviews of premium spirits easily accessible with the scan of the bottle label. Now, the platform is expanding to no and low alcohol offerings, with new features and thousands of reviews being added to the database monthly.
During Dry January, Bottle Raiders has seen a 33% uptick in users on the app seeking alcohol alternatives. Notably, consumers are seeking out non-alcoholic whiskeys, tequilas, gin, and rum as well as mocktail content.
These results inspired Bottle Raiders to announce that it will be hosting the first-ever zero proof & wellness festival in New York at the Altman Building on September 27 to kick off Sober October. The festival, Drinks with Benefits, will be the ultimate opportunity for consumers to discover the top nonalcoholic brands along with food and wellness, in a fun engaging setting. Partners currently on board to participate include Feragaia, Parentheses, Aplos, Sam from Third Place Bar, Zero Proof Nation, and ProofNoMore, with more to be announced soon. This is in addition to the company’s fourteen other fine spirits events already scheduled around the country for 2025.
“This first of its kind festival is an opportunity to help promote the biggest no/low alcohol brands and for consumers to get the opportunity to see how good these drinks can be.” said Dan Abrams. “Add some great food and top wellness experiences and this will be an event you won’t want to miss whether you drink alcohol or not.”
The Bottle Raiders scanning app leverages an artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm to perform advanced image processing to analyze either the labels and/or barcodes of any bottle and instantly display the most extensive database of spirits and zero-proof drink reviews. Its proprietary Raided Score™ averages all reviews into a single, easy-to-understand score that allows users to receive a well-rounded assessment of each spirit instead of just one outlet’s subjective opinion.
Aside from the scanning feature, the app also enables users to save their own tasting notes, see fellow user ratings, and stay updated on spirits news and trends.
“We are trying to improve on what Vivino has done for wine or Yuka for food, providing consumers with key information to help them make better decisions, whether they are looking for the best spirits or no alcohol alternatives,” said Abrams.
The Bottle Raiders app is available to download for free on Apple and Google Play stores.
