Louisville, KY – Mary Dowling Whiskey Company, an award-winning bourbon brand on a mission to restore the lost legacy of Mary Dowling, today announced the launch of a multi-city U.S. book tour for its new historical fiction novel, “Mother of Bourbon: The Greatest American Whiskey Story Never Told.” A collaborative project between co-authors Eric Goodman and Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame Whiskey Maker Kaveh Zamanian, “Mother of Bourbon” takes readers through the outrageously inspiring life of bourbon’s most successful and influential woman distiller: Mary Dowling. 

“Mother of Bourbon” spans a transformative era in American history, chronicling the extraordinary life of Mary Dowling, who defied government suppression, shattered gender barriers and outwitted Prohibition to cement her place in bourbon history. Today, her spirit lives on in Mary Dowling Whiskey Company, a tribute to her trailblazing legacy. Hosted by Kaveh Zamanian, the “Mother of Bourbon” book tour offers a one-of-a-kind immersive experience, blending history, storytelling and exceptional bourbon.
