California Wild Ales Releases “Vienna Waits for You” Vienna Lager in Celebration of OBOktoberfest

SAN DIEGO, CA – October 10, 2025 – California Wild Ales, San Diego’s award-winning small-batch brewery known for its creative sours and community-driven approach, is proud to announce the release of its latest beer, Vienna Waits for You, a smooth and flavorful Vienna Lager (6% ABV) launching October 10th at the brewery’s Ocean Beach tasting room to kick off the annual Ocean Beach Oktoberfest celebration.

A Lager That Balances Tradition and San Diego Flair

Vienna Waits for You is a complex yet approachable Vienna-style lager that brings malt character and crisp drinkability into perfect harmony. Expect notes of toasty bread crust, roasted nuts, and subtle caramel sweetness, all balanced by a clean, dry finish and a delicate touch of floral and herbal hops.

This beer showcases Vienna malt in all its depth — offering a robust, malt-forward profile without sacrificing the refreshing, clean drinkability that defines California Wild Ales’ lineup. The result is a beer that bridges Old World tradition and coastal California ease.

Celebrate OB Oktoberfest with a Fresh Local Release

The beer’s launch coincides with Ocean Beach Oktoberfest (October 10–11) — the community’s biggest fall celebration of beer, live music, and beachside fun. Guests can enjoy Vienna Waits for You fresh on draft or take home cans to keep the party going all weekend.

California Wild Ales will be pouring 16 beers on tap, including the new Vienna Lager, hard slushies, and a rotating lineup of IPAs, lagers, and barrel-aged sours.

Vienna Waits for You is available starting October 10th, 2025, exclusively at California Wild Ales’ Ocean Beach tasting room (4896 Newport Ave, San Diego, CA 92107). The beer will be available on draft and in limited 4-packs to-go while supplies last.
