SAUSALITO, Calif. (October 8, 2025) – Sausalito Liquor Co., the craft spirits innovator known for its bold, locally inspired flavors, is celebrating its second anniversary by bringing back the wildly popular, award-winning, Unsinkable Chocolate Liqueur, revamped with an upgraded blend of TCHO cacao. After selling out of last year’s first edition, Sausalito Liquor Co. and Berkeley’s TCHO Chocolate have teamed up again, bottling this delicious liqueur just in time for the holiday season.

The revamped Unsinkable Chocolate Liqueur delivers the same "devilish, unexpected, shockingly drinkable" experience that earned cult status among bartenders and cocktail enthusiasts over the last year. The updated recipe increased the amount of cacao nibs by 50%, using a blend of TCHO’s Ghana and Peruvian cacao nibs, resulting in a deeper color and flavor to the spirit. 

“We felt a truly delicious, versatile chocolate liqueur was missing from the liquor aisle, and ultimately our liquor cabinets. That led us to start working with TCHO, where over the past couple of years, we’ve tried and tested countless blends until we landed on our killer recipe. Last year’s Unsinkable Chocolate Liqueur was amazing, receiving a Gold medal and 90 points at the Bartender Spirits Awards, but this year’s is an automatic bar staple.” said Scott Jampol, Founder, Sausalito Liquor Co. 

Whether featured in craft cocktails, incorporated into dessert recipes, or savored neat, this isn't your typical overly-sweet, under-proofed chocolate liqueur. At 24% ABV (48 proof), it maintains serious spirit credentials while delivering a rich, authentic chocolate flavor that’s neither syrupy nor milky. The spirit is the perfect addition to ever-trending cocktails like espresso martinis, or for a fresh take on classics it’s ideal in a Chocolate Negroni or Old Fashioned.

The 2025 Unsinkable Chocolate Liqueur will be available starting October 8th for $34.99 in 100% recycled glass bottles. Bottles can be purchased online at sausalitoliquor.com and purchased or enjoyed at select Bay Area retailers, bars, and restaurants.
