Featuring a 25-Year-Old Trinidad Rum from the legendary Caroni Distillery and a 60-Year-Old Single Grain Scotch Whisky from the historic Carsebridge Distillery, this exceptional pair captures the artistry and legacy of two long-silent icons.
LONDON, ENGLAND (APRIL 30, 2026) – The Last Drop Distillers, curators of the world’s most remarkable spirits, continues its pursuit of the exquisite with two rare releases: a 25-Year-Old Trinidad Rum (Release No. 41) and a 60-Year-Old Single Grain Scotch Whisky (Release No. 42).
Together, these releases honor the craft of long maturation and the distinctive character of two storied “ghost” distilleries—from the bold, industrial background of Trinidad’s Caroni Distillery to the grain whisky legacy of Scotland’s Carsebridge Distillery. Both distilleries have since been demolished, their reputations only deepening with time.
What remained in these casks is irreplaceable: spirits shaped by decades of patient aging, each offering a final glimpse into the character and craftsmanship of two vanished giants.
Release No. 41: The Last Drop 25-Year-Old Trinidad Rum from the Caroni Distillery
This striking 25-year-old Trinidadian rum is drawn from two precious bourbon casks, one distilled in 1997 and the other in 1999, selected and married to balance Caroni’s unmistakable depth with vibrant layers of tropical fruit and floral lift. Long maturation in Trinidad’s tropical climate has shaped a spirit that reflects the power and nuance of Caroni’s historic production style, shaped by heavy, characterful distillate and patient aging in oak.
Since its closure in 2003, Caroni has achieved near-mythical status. Its remaining stocks are revered for their rarity and complexity, and this release stands as a testament to the distillery’s enduring influence.
Presented at 130.4 proof (65.2% ABV), a mere 261 bottles will be available for an SRP of $2,399.99 (700ml).
Tasting Notes by The Last Drop Distillers
APPEARANCE: A deep bronze-gold.
NOSE: Roasted nuts and spiced oak give way to pineapple, vanilla, and delicate floral notes of orange blossom and jasmine.
PALATE: Sweet papaya, stewed hibiscus flower and spiced ginger cake, green banana leaf and dry white pepper spiciness with just a wisp of smoke.
FINISH: A long, spicy finish shaped by oak tannins, showcasing both the delicate and heavier signatures of Caroni rum.

Release No. 42: The Last Drop 60-Year-Old Single Grain Scotch Whisky from the Carsebridge Distillery
Drawn from cask No. 160237, laid down in November 1965, this remarkable 60-year-old Single Grain Scotch Whisky is a rare survivor of the historic Carsebridge Distillery.
Once a cornerstone of Lowland grain whisky production, Carsebridge closed its doors decades ago, leaving only a handful of casks to speak for its legacy. Today, its limited surviving stocks are treasured as some of the last expressions of a distillery that played a defining role in Scotland’s whisky landscape.
Six decades of maturation in a single ex-bourbon cask have shaped a whisky of exceptional depth and refined sweetness. Distilled during the twilight of Carsebridge’s long operational life, this release captures the quiet craftsmanship and understated elegance that defined the distillery’s character. It stands as a testament both to the foresight of its creators and the enduring history of one of Scotland’s silent grain giants.
Presented at 84.8 proof (42.4% ABV), only 140 bottles will be available at an SRP of $4,999.99 (700ml).
Tasting Notes by Colin Scott, Master Blender, The Last Drop
APPEARANCE: Deep amber, shaped by sixty years in oak.
NOSE: Toffee and baking spices, lifted by sweet fruit and warming clove.
PALATE: Smooth and rounded, with toasted almonds, crème brûlée, and delicate oak-spiced fruit.
FINISH: Gentle, lingering, quietly complex, and full of surprises.
“The 2026 Curated Collection brings together two extraordinary spirits shaped by time, rarity, and provenance,” said Rebecca Jago, Director of Brand Experience, The Last Drop Distillers. “These releases embody the discoveries and stories we are privileged to share; spirits that reveal something truly singular and remind us why we search the world for moments of brilliance.”
Each bottle from The Last Drop 2026 Collection is wax-sealed, individually numbered, and presented in a bespoke case that includes a 50ml miniature, a pocket-sized tasting book, and an engraved stopper cork.
“This Caroni cask is a powerful reminder of Trinidad’s rum-making heritage: bold, industrial, and unmistakably expressive,” said Kizito Owusu-Sarfo, Sazerac Brand Director of World Aged Spirits. “Decades of tropical maturation have revealed layers of character that speak to the island’s spirit and to Caroni’s enduring legacy.”
“Additionally, our other release is a remarkable single grain whisky that is a survivor from a long-closed Lowland distillery. It offers a rare glimpse into Scotch whisky’s golden age. After sixty years in cask, it has developed a depth and quiet elegance shaped by patience, time, and craft. I was taken aback when I tasted both and still find the flavors developing with each opportunity I have to taste.”
The Last Drop 2026 Collection will be available in limited quantities across the United States and United Kingdom, made available at select high-end retailers, bars, and restaurants.
