A new woman- and queer-owned non-alcoholic functional beverage company has just launched out of Austin, Texas, and is already making its mark on the rapidly growing non-alcoholic beverage industry. When co-founders Audrey and Amanda realized alcohol was no longer serving them, they became increasingly curious about the non-alcoholic beverage space, but quickly realized the options on the market didn’t match the feeling they were looking for: too “wellness,” too soft, and nothing that felt like or captured the edge, ritual, and social ease of a real drink.
So they created How Tea, a non-alcoholic sparkling tea with rebellious branding, clean ingredients, and functional adaptogens for those who still want to be part of the party, just without the alcohol. The brand launches with two functional flavors, each crafted for a different mood.
Low Ride is a white peach jasmine featuring ashwagandha, reishi, holy basil, and L-theanine to promote a calm, relaxed state of mind. Rodeo Fuel is a blood orange hibiscus infused with cordyceps, lion's mane, panax ginseng, and a kick of caffeine to support focus, clarity, and sustained energy.
Just two months after launch, How Tea has already secured placement in bars, restaurants, and retailers throughout the Austin area while selling direct-to-consumer nationwide through their website. With strong early momentum and brand positioning, How Tea is poised for rapid growth as it expands into new markets.
