Athletes Justin Dowell (Gold, BMX Park) and Wyatt “WYO” Fontenot (Bronze, Moto X Best Whip) deliver an opening-day podium double as the brand demos nearly 10,000 cans across a full 360 activation — with the MoonPay X Games League Championship, New Orleans up next.
Sacramento, CA — July 1, 2026 — NO CAP! Soda Pop opened its second straight year at X Games with a statement, as both of the brand’s sponsored athletes reached the podium on the opening day of MoonPay X Games Sacramento 2026 (June 26–28) — the season-opening stop of the all-new X Games League and the first of two U.S. activations for the brand this summer. BMX Park rider Justin Dowell took home Gold, and freestyle motocross star Wyatt “WYO” Fontenot earned Bronze in the fan-favorite Moto X Best Whip, putting NO CAP! on the medal stand twice before the weekend had fully kicked off.
Justin Dowell, Team USA’s BMX Park standout, captured Gold in a loaded field, backing up last year’s breakout X Games performance with another top-of-the-podium finish. His run blended precision and creativity in a way that has quickly made him one of the most-watched names in the sport — and a perfect fit for a brand built on next-gen energy.
“Winning Gold in BMX Park to kick off X Games Sacramento was an unreal feeling. I put in the work and left it all on the course. Having NO CAP! Soda in my corner makes moments like this even sweeter.” — Justin Dowell
Wyatt “WYO” Fontenot, a fearless freestyle motocross talent, turned last year’s near-miss into hardware — grabbing Bronze in the high-flying Moto X Best Whip in front of a roaring Sacramento crowd. The Louisiana native is just getting started, and his next stop carries extra meaning.
“To land on the podium in Best Whip feels amazing — it was an awesome battle with the best of the best in the world. I’m fired up for what’s next, and grateful to NO CAP! Soda for riding with me. Heading home to Louisiana for the next one is going to be special.” — Wyatt “WYO” Fontenot
NO CAP! didn’t just sponsor — it activated. Over three days, the brand sampled nearly 10,000 grab-and-go 7.5oz cans to action-sports fans who embraced NO CAP!’s bold, clean flavors — and its limited-edition X Games collaboration can was available throughout the event grounds. The program was a true 360 activation, extending well beyond the gates: retail displays of NO CAP! Soda Pop across the greater Sacramento market, athlete meet-and-greets on-site, and sampling moments leading up to and throughout the entire weekend.
The partnership also lines up squarely with X Games’ push to grow its Gen Z and Gen Alpha audience. NO CAP! complements that strategy with a great-tasting soda that has no sugar and no caffeine — a feel-good, function-forward option built for the next generation of fans who want more from what they drink.
“This is exactly what we set out to build — a partnership that wins on every level, from the podium to the booth to the shelf,” said Vinny Wilson, Co-founder of NO CAP! Soda Pop. “Two athletes, two medals on Day One, nearly ten thousand cans in the hands of the next generation, and a collab can fans actually want to keep. This is it, this is NO CAP! It isn’t just a soda; it’s a brand at its core.”
Up next, NO CAP! Soda Pop heads to the MoonPay X Games League Championship, New Orleans (July 24–26) — the third stop of the 2026 season and the brand’s second U.S. activation — where it will do it all over again. This time the spotlight shifts to “WYO,” a proud Louisiana native who will have the home crowd firmly in his corner as he chases the top step of the podium. NO CAP! will partner with Rouses Market on retail execution, with displays featuring both the X Games collector’s edition can and the brand’s newest flavor, NO CAP! ICEE Red White & BOOM! — its take on the classic bomb pop flavor, launching to celebrate America’s 250th.
