Pepsi Shakes Up Dole Ready-to-Drink Juice Line

PURCHASE, N.Y. – March 7, 2005 – Pepsi-Cola North America today announced a new addition to its portfolio of Dole 100% juices – Ruby Red Grapefruit – as well as a new line of 50% juice beverages called Dole Lights. The products will begin hitting store shelves nationwide this month.

Dole Ruby Red Grapefruit, newly reformulated to contain 100% juice and no added sugar, joins Orange, Apple and Grape in the Dole 100% Juice lineup.


New Dole Lights are lower in calories and carbohydrates and contain half the sugar of regular juices. Available in five flavors: Orange, Apple, Grape, Berry Blend and Cranberry, Dole Lights contain no added sugar and are sweetened with sucralose.

Dole 100% Juice and Dole Lights are sold in convenient 15.2-oz plastic bottles in retail stores with 11.5-oz cans also available for schools. Both products qualify for PepsiCo’s “Smart Spot” label and offer 100% Vitamin C in each 8-oz serving. In-store displays promote the products with the tagline, “Drink your Fruit Today.”
