New Leaf Appointed by U.S. Department of Commerce to Host SABIT Program

Old Tappan, NJ, September 7, 2010 – New Leaf Brands, Inc. (OTCBB:  NLEF) (“Company”), a provider of great tasting, all natural, healthy beverages, today announced that it will host delegates from the SABIT Group Program sponsored by the United States Department of Commerce.  SABIT (Special American Business Internship Training) offers business leaders from 7 Eurasian counties, mostly countries from the former Soviet Union – Armenia, Moldova, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan – a short-term technical assistance program focused on the beverage industry from August 28-September 25. The delegates are high-level executives and managers of companies that process and bottle non-alcoholic, non-dairy beverages (soft drinks, bottles water, carbonated juice, juice drinks, iced tea, etc.)

 

As part of this comprehensive program that seeks to provide its participants with a full understanding of the non-alcoholic, non-dairy beverage industry in the US by familiarizing participants with techniques, standards, business management and marketing strategies, New Leaf will be hosting a social media forum on September 7, 2010, taking the group through an overview of the state of social media and then expanding into how to utilize social media to benefit your brand and/or company.
