BevNET Review: The last Mash flavor that we sampled is Grapefruit and Citrus Zing, which delivers a natural grapefruit flavor with a touch of sweet to the finish. Like the other varieties, this one sees a big boost from using juice (1% grapefruit in this case), which helps make the flavorings taste much more natural. The result is a product that's extremely enjoyable to consume. Finally, there's the packaging, which looks clean and attractive, especially with the bright color and the proprietary squat bottle. BevNET Review: Mash's Lemon Peel and Ginger Root flavor delivers a moderately sweet lemon flavored base (1% lemon concentrate) that finishes up with a slight dash of ginger flavor. This combination does a great job of covering the sucralose sweetener that's used to keep the drink's calories low. Overall, it's a really nice flavor that's one of the more enjoyable reduced calorie CSDs we've had. The squat 20 oz. bottle is attractive, although reading the front panel -- which calls the product "a water drink" -- isn't the most straightforward experience. However, we think this product's looks and taste are what will attract and keep consumers coming back -- regardless of what you call it.Reviewed on: 9/23/2009

BevNET Review: Using 4% juice, this product delivers real fruit flavor that you won't find in almost any other CSD. There are light distinguishable hints of pomegranate, blueberry, and cranberry which work well with this sugar and sucralose sweetened product. The mild amount of carbonation gives the product a sophisticated feeling, as does its simple but clean label design. Overall, a superb product.Reviewed on: 9/23/2009

BevNET Review: In a market that's been full of boring CSD launches, Mash is definitely an innovative offering. The first and most obvious part is its squat 20 oz. wide mouth bottle. The product is modern and relatively hip, which is a huge change from Boylan's other nostalgia style products. Inside the bottle, there's a blend of orange and mango flavors which have been helped along by the use of 2% juice (mango, pear, and lemon blend). They've sweetened the product with a touch of sugar and sucralose, which gives the product a near full strength taste without the harsh aftertaste of artificial sweetener. It's an impressive formulation, especially when you consider that it has only 100 calories per 20 oz. bottle. Overall, a great tasting and looking product.Reviewed on: 9/23/2009
