Syzmo's Prickly Pear Energy Drink is a good one, in terms of both packaging and flavor. It has a sweet flavor that's almost citrus like in nature, which is likely the result of its high level of sweetness and the cooling sensation of the agave. There's a bit of bite to the finish, but otherwise minimal energy flavor. Still, we think it has a taste that will be able to be credible as an energy drink. In addition, the ingredients include an interesting cocktail of some of today's more trendy energy ingredients, including yerba matte, coffee berry, green tea, and blue agave. Packaging is a sharp green can, which looks much more professional and polished that Syzmo's original look. Prominent placement of the USDA Organic seal is a plus, as is the new look of the Syzmo logo. Overall, an excellent super premium energy drink that has a best in class flavor.

Syzmo "Original" isn't actually the original flavor of the lineup (the flavor now labeled "Passion" is). In any event, we really like the flavor of this new Original, especially since it has a refreshing blue agave sweetened taste. It leaves your mouth feeling "cool", which is definitely preferred over the chemical tinge so often found in energy drinks. The latest round of packaging is their best yet, with a design that's just as good as anything else in the super premium space. Overall, a superb product on the inside and outside.

Syzmo's Passion flavor varies quite a bit from the other two, with the most noticeable difference being the reddish tint to the liquid. This formula, which was also the original Syzmo flavor, features a sweet fruit flavor that, when combined with the energy and agave, tastes like a mixture of berry and citrus flavors. It's exceptionally good, ranking among the top of the super premium energy category. Plus, the new packaging is a huge improvement, giving the product a professional look and feel that's definitely going to have mainstream potential.

Speaking purely on taste, Syzmo is definitely among the energy drink category's elite products. The product, which uses organic blue agave for its sweetener, has a one-of-a-kind fruit punch-like flavor that's sweet and refreshing. Plus, the agave leaves your mouth feeling "cool", which is definitely preferred over the chemically tinge so often found in energy drinks. The new packaging design feels improved, with a more premium feeling to the overall appearance of it. Also, they've removed the vertical text and have also made the USDA Organic seal much easier to find. Overall, a superb product on the inside and outside.
