Sweet Black Tea - Calorie Free

BevNET Review: The Republic of Tea - Sweet Black Tea is a zero calorie tea comprised of only two ingredients, organic tea and Stevia leaves. The tea produces a nice "freshly brewed" black tea aroma upon opening which is inviting and pleasant. However, upon first sip, a strong blast of Stevia dismisses any mellow tea flavor. Furthermore, the sweetener taste sticks around a little too long making for a rather unpleasant finish. The tea is bottled in a proprietary 16.9 oz. glass bottle, which, like The Republic of Tea's other bottled teas, is unique in shape and stands much taller than typical 16.9 oz. packaging. The size along with the clean and simple label make for a rather striking package that will most definitely stand out from other RTD iced teas. However, it's not instantly obvious that it's a stevia sweetened product. Ultimately, it is a very nice looking product that's true to the high standards set by the rest of their line. But fixing the balance of tea and stevia would definitely make this a much better product. Reviewed on: 6/3/2011

Honeydew White Tea

BevNET Review: Honeydew White Tea is one of The Republic of Tea's new white tea products. The flavor and formulation follow the style of other Republic of Tea flavors -- very light, crisp, and unsweetened. The tea flavor of this product is extremely light -- you'll really need to cleanse your palate prior to consuming this product if you wish to taste the tea. Perhaps it's because of the difference in packaging, but we found this version of The Republic of Tea's Honey Dew White to be more flavorful than the variety that comes in their plastic line. In addition to the flavor difference, we find The Republic of Tea's glass packaging to be much more attractive (albeit less practical) than their plastic line. Overall, this product is a good, light flavor that is one of the better white teas from Republic.Reviewed on: 12/9/2004

Ginger Peach Decaf

BevNET Review: The same great medium body tea that was in the original Ginger Peach tea, but without the caffeine. We honestly cannot taste any difference in the strength of this tea compared to the original. Definitely give this product a try.Reviewed on: 2/8/2002

Blackberry Sage

BevNET Review: Blackberry Sage is simply exquisite. This tea, which is brewed from black tea leaves, has a strong, full-body flavor, with a nice splash of blackberry. The brew of tea is tasty and refreshing, and the blackberry flavor gives it a subtle tartness. We suggest that you smell this beverage before you try it. It is absolutely amazing. Ginger Peach

BevNET Review: Tea cannot get any better than this. This medium body tea has a nice subtle spice (ginger) to it with a splash of peach flavor. It's the perfect combination of sweet fruit flavor and spice. It is the best of both worlds in one tea! This combination is awesome. We highly recommend this product. Reviewed on: 5/31/2001

Mango Ceylon

BevNET Review: Absolutely refreshing! Mango Ceylon has a much lighter body than the Blackberry Sage, but it still has an amazing aroma and flavor. It has a very subtle sweetness to it that makes this beverage very easy to drink (especially if you are new to fine teas). The tea flavor is very tasty, using a fine brew of black tea that will surely quench anyone's thirst for a robust tea. Mango is a perfect compliment to this fine tea. It not only adds a tangy burst of fruit flavor, but it adds a flower-like aroma to an already aromatic tea. Reviewed on: 5/31/2001

Republic Darjeeling

BevNET Review: This is the lightest brew of tea from The Republic of Tea, but don't let that fool you. This tea is full of flavor. It has a very refreshing and easy sipping brew of black tea with the mellow taste of Muscat grape. The tea flavor is not as strong as the others, but the overall taste and aromatic feel of this product will not let you down if you are looking for a high quality tea with a unique flavor.
