Talking Rain Beverage, makers of Sparkling Ice, has named Luke Fisher as the company’s new chief financial officer.
Fisher has been with the Seattle-based beverage maker since 2013 working his way up from a corporate controller position to director of finance and, most recently, serving as the company’s executive VP of finance for the past three years.
This appointment comes after an April executive leadership shakeup when longtime CEO Chris Hall abruptly stepped down to take on the role of CEO at prebiotic soda brand Poppi. Ken Sylvia took up the reins, having previously served as Talking Rain’s COO for 11 years.
In a press release announcing Fisher’s appointment, Sylvia said that he was “excited for Luke as he and his team work to optimize our existing platforms, implement strategies to transform our business, and provide financial leadership to our organization.”
The beverage company continues to hold the top position in the sparkling flavored water category with $794.6 million in dollar sales over the 52-week period ending on September 10, according to Goldman Sachs Equity Research Report using NielsenIQ data. On a three-year stack basis, sales are up 45.1% against an average pricing increase of 6.3% for the 52-week period ending September 10.
Commenting on his appointment, Fisher said: “My focus will continue to be driving sustainable growth at Talking Rain, along with overseeing our operating platform, ensuring we are putting forward the best approach to meet the needs of our customers.”
