Gaffle! delivers smooth but intense coffee flavor thanks to the use of high quality beans and a cold drip brewing process. Packaged in 4.3 ounce glass bottles, the brand offers three varieties that are named after the source of the beans: Ethiopia (the variety that we sampled for this review), Colombia and Brazil, plus one decaf option.
Things that stand out:
- Very smooth flavor with no bitterness. The Ethiopia SKU that we sampled had pleasant notes of chocolate and fruit.
- Unique package format that catches the eye and will stand out in the coffee set.
- Made with just coffee and water, which makes it hard to beat in terms of clean labelling.
Things to consider:
- The size is modest compared to the competition. Is it too small?
- Asking consumers to choose based on the coffee’s country of origin feels like an approach that will limit the brand’s audience to connoisseurs (who might not want RTD).
- Most consumers probably don’t know what “cold drip” coffee is, which could be a barrier and require education. Figuring out how to simplify this and emphasize the quality of the liquid might help.

Maté Party is a three-SKU line of RTD sparkling yerba mate beverages made in Portland, OR. The product line includes Unsweetened (zero calories), Lightly Sweet (43 calories and flavored with lemon juice), and Mint Grapefruit (35 calories). Each 12 ounce can has a vintage, art deco vibe.
Things that stand out:
- Clean and simple list of ingredients across the lineup – and we think this product plays in a well understood space.
- Flavors are really well-executed and we’re especially fond of the Mint Grapefruit variety.
- Maté Party’s branding feels like a mate brand for people who are looking for something that’s fun rather than serious.
- Front panel callouts for caffeine and “low sugar” are smart, but we’d love to see a callorie callout too.
Things to consider:
- Thoughtful flavor combinations seem like a good direction for additional SKUs. This feels like the best way for the brand to differentiate.
- Bigger picture, this brand should be thinking about how to compete with the likes of Guayakí, the category leader, and what sets it apart.
- Leaning further into the “Party” aspect of the brand could be an interesting path to explore.

Remedy Organics: Tropical Greens
Remedy Organics continues to expand its Protein + Greens family of refrigerated plant-based shakes, this time with a luxe and luscious green smoothie that blends kale, mango, coconut milk and a host of nutrients.
Things that stand out:
- Rich but balanced flavor, with sweet mango notes boosting the greens just enough
- Vibrant natural color (no additives) shines in the clear bottle
- Competitive protein payload (16 grams) from pea, brown rice
Things to consider:
- The hybrid protein-greens approach may not be right for all consumers

A new venture from Owen’s Craft Mixers, Daizy’s is a 10mg THC-infused “social soda” line available in fruit flavors including passion fruit, tropical punch and grape. The line comes in two-serving 12 oz slim cans with 25 calories each.
Things That Stand Out:
- Satisfying, uncompromising soda flavor across all SKUs with just 3 grams of total sugar and no bitter or herbal aftertaste
- Approachable, colorful packaging design
Things to consider:
- “Social soda” concept could be fleshed out more to invite consumers in
- Bright, colorful can may be somewhat ill fit for intoxicating 21+ beverage
