The Beet variety of Bolthouse Farms’ 1915 juice is the most traditional cold-pressed juice formulation of the bunch. Blending beets, carrots, oranges and lemon, the product has notes of earthy and sweet. The earthiness of course comes from the carrots, while the sweet citrus flavor of oranges (as well as the natural sugars in the beets and carrots) provide a modest amount of sweetness. The company has done a nice job of balancing it, which is always a plus. All in all, it’s a familiar flavor that you can find in many other juice brands, but done a great job with the execution of their version. On the outside, the use of a 12 oz. square bottle with a square cap helps visually set the product apart. It’s smaller than many competing products, which are often 16 oz., but the cap helps make it feel bigger than it is. Otherwise, the front panel is clean and easy to read, with only the important stuff making it onto the front of the bottle. Overall, it’s not 1915's most innovative flavor, but it’s an enjoyable one with solid execution.
