Aloe Very: Lemonade

While we made comparisons to the Original variety and a sports drink, this one has even stronger similarities. The “Lemonade” variety pairs with the aloe vera to create something that has a subtle saltiness to it, while also helping to mask the stevia. There’s still some aloe and grape flavor in this product, but it’s certainly not as strong as the unadulterated form that you’ll find in the brand's flagship flavor. Plus, having Lemonade on the label makes for something that’s certainly more marketable. Otherwise, the product has the same nutritional benefits as the flagship, including added vitamins and antioxidants and a relatively low-calorie and sugar profile (60 calories and 12g sugar per bottle). Visually, the addition of images of lemons helps with the appeal, but the gold background color doesn’t pop as well as the blue or green backdrops of the other two flavors. In addition, we feel as though the branding could be improved upon, with both its placement on the bottle (it’s on the ribs) and lack of personality (the block font logo feels generic). Overall, this was our favorite flavor of the lineup, despite the minor flaws.
