Bubble Yum Soda: Original

Yes, Bubble Yum soda does, in fact, taste like bubblegum. That's quite possibly the first time we've made this statement without it being meant as a criticism. Fortunately, however, Bubble Yum doesn't possess the same bubblegum flavor found in poorly formulated products. Instead, it's true to its name, featuring a flavor that made us immediately crave bubblegum. Unfortunately, the market for this product is probably rather limited. A full-strength CSD that's intended to taste like candy seems like a counterintuitive product to launch in this day and age -- especially when there's nothing special or attractive about the packaging. Bubble Yum is most definitely a novelty product in our opinion -- we simply can't imagine many consumers reaching for a 280-calorie bottle of bubblegum flavored pop. That being said, changing to upscale and/or nostalgia packaging would likely go a long way.
