Califia Farms: Classic Cinnamon Horchata

Califia Farms’ Classic Cinnamon Horchata pretty much hits the nail on the head when it comes to classic horchata flavor. It features a blend of rice milk, tigernut milk, and almond milk as the base. From there, Califia Farms sweetened the product with cane sugar and monk fruit and added cinnamon, sea salt and nutmeg (there are other ingredients to help stabilize and improve the body of the blend). At 80 calories and 11g of sugars per 8 oz., this is also one of the more reasonable formulations that we’ve seen for an horchata. However, it’s the classic flavor that is likely to keep consumers coming back to this one. From a visual perspective, this flavor, which comes in a 48 oz. multi-serve container, follows the template of the Califia Farms lineup. That being said, it looks nice and has a polished design, but we’d honestly have a slightly hard time picking this out from some of the company's other products as many use the same white backdrop. Yes, Califia uses a unique font for the word “Horchata” and added a graphic along the bottom, but this doesn’t feel like it’s enough. Still, we really like the formulation of this product. It’s definitely one of the best tasting horchatas that is widely available.
