BevNET Review
The "Green #1" variety of Crude Juice blends spinach, pear, lime, carrot, orange and spirulina into a USDA Organic and Non-GMO verified blend that’s sweet and more full-bodied than the brand's "Red #1" counterpart. Each of the ingredients can be distinguished from the whole, although the lime, carrot, and orange are probably the most dominant of the bunch. The spirulina gives the product a slightly gritty finish, which, at least for us, is a nice change of texture. Ultimately, the flavor of this product is quite good, although a bit less orange juice flavor might be nice. Like the "Red #1" product, this one uses a 16 oz. bottle with a clear label. We’re still not overly fond of the small opening on the bottle, but the white text and logo do stand out better against the backdrop of dark green liquid. In addition, we’re not totally convinced that the brand name “Crude,” which has a somewhat negative implication, is the best approach for a product that’s square in the health and wellness space. Beyond that, we do feel that the label, which is currently in its first rendition, could be given some improved graphic design. Overall, it’s a nice start and packaging is the clear area where improvement could be made.
