BevNET Review

Lemon flavored tea is usually the easiest way to gauge one brand of tea vs. another -- and Gold Peak is no exception. The package has a Western US, straight from the Rockies feeling to it, but, much like the set of a Western movie, the bottle is a façade attempting to cover up for the inferior product within. Specifically, the product uses "the finest tea leaves and pure water", but also uses many ingredients that are staples of Coke's products, including high fructose corn syrup, caramel color, and phosphoric acid. There's simply nothing "fine" about this product. It has a syrupy body that is only made worse by the inferior taste of the black tea. This product truly makes little sense to us, especially when they've created nothing that will help win over drinkers of AriZona or Snapple (the two dominant players in the category).
