Green Mustache: Strawberry Banana (2013)

The Strawberry Banana flavor of Green Mustache Smoothies is definitely the best of the bunch. Not only does it take the classic strawberry banana smoothie and elevate it to a whole new level, but it’s also the best tasting flavor of the bunch. The base of the drink includes a variety of fruits and veggies (including kale and spinach), coconut water and ground chia, but the flavor is very much strawberry and banana. To that end, it’s certainly something that kids will enjoy (at least ours did), while parents will appreciate the vitamins, minerals, fiber, and relatively low sugar content (19g). On the outside, we really like the squat 10 oz. bottle that the company has chosen as it is definitely a nice size for kids. Visually, the use of a mustache -- which is, at least currently, a trendy thing with kids -- give the product a playful and not so serious look. It’s clean in execution and leaves a lasting impression with kids. Overall, a very enjoyable and well-executed product.
