BevNET Review
While we were admittedly skeptical of a “not too sweet” root beer, GuS has done a very nice job with this product. There’s a cool wintergreen note to the aroma, which sets the stage for a nice dry root beer flavor. You can taste the clove and birch flavors, while a touch of wintergreen and vanilla hitting your tongue at the finish. The sweetness does a nice job of complementing the flavor without getting in the way -- exactly what a sweetener should do. On the outside, GuS Dry Root Beer has a label that fits the style of their other flavors, but with images of roots, flowers, mint, and vanilla. These are certainly not as appealing to the senses as the labels for their fruit flavors, but it does a nice job of describing what’s inside the bottle. And, compared to other root beers, this product has a certain amount of sophistication that differentiates it. Overall, a very enjoyable addition to the GuS lineup.
