High Brew Coffee: Salted Caramel

High Brew’s Salted Caramel is the strongest flavor (in terms of the added flavoring) of the coffee line. It offers some nice differentiation from the others and also utilizes a somewhat trendy flavor. The saltiness of the caramel flavor is quite enjoyable -- and it works very nicely as a complement to the bold flavor of the cold brew. However, this product feels less about coffee than their other varieties. The salted caramel flavor is pretty assertive, so if you don’t love salted caramel flavor, you probably won’t be overly fond of this product. One thing it does do pretty well is mask the flavor of the stevia (there’s also sugar in the product). Still, we can’t help but feel as though High Brew should focus in more on the coffee and dial back the flavoring. If the product is to be a credible cold brew product we think that this is a pretty important tweak. Beyond that, we very much like the look of the product. The color palette, retro look of the brand, and prime placement of the caloric content are definitely a plus. All in all, this is a solid flavor that could be one of the standout varieties of the brand with a little bit of refinement.
