Matcha LOVE: Unsweetened Green Tea

The Unsweetened variety of Ito En’s Matcha Love is a zero-calorie beverage that features a blend of green tea and matcha (a powdered whole leaf green tea). As with any good quality green tea, there’s a slightly grassy note to the body of the product. Fortunately, this passes quickly and the overall flavor is extremely smooth and enjoyable. It certainly doesn’t need any sweetener or added flavors, which is always something that’s impressive given all of the options available. The small 5.2 oz. can is rather unassuming, both in its design and copy. There are no callouts promoting the health of matcha or its zero-calorie formulation. Instead, the company kept it simple and approachable, with the Love Matcha being somewhat of a departure from Ito En’s typical branding. All in all, this is a really enjoyable and expertly executed tea product.
