Review: Wild Berry

On Point Energy is a product conceived by two veterans who wanted to give something back to the military community. The product supports a variety of charities that focus on injured veterans and those who are currently deployed. The design of the package has an in-your-face military theme featuring camouflage and the silhouette of a soldier and planes. Inside the bottle, the pink liquid has a berry-like flavor to it, while the 0 calorie formulation features a fairly standard looking energy blend. Ultimately, the quality of the product seems fine, but their choice to go with a stock formulation and busy design seem to undermine the drink’s credibility. The is really trying to market hard at the military -- we’d guess that a more subtle approach would create better results. Finally, if this product has charitable intentions, the sooner they can actually make them a reality (even if it’s outside of being profitable), the more credible this aspect of the product will become. Overall, this is a perfectly adequate energy shot (and a good first effort), but making the flavor their own and improving the messaging will help this brand fully realize its potential.
