Pro Ade: Kiwi Strawberry

The Kiwi Strawberry flavor of Pro-Ade utilizes flavors that enhance, rather than balance or mellow, the tartness of the added protein. That said, this product is much more tart than the Black Cherry variety, which probably will make this drink appeal to a slightly different consumer than its counterpart. In addition, it has a more pronounced milkiness to it, which, at least from a taste point of view, makes it very obvious that this is a protein drink. Otherwise, the sucralose sweetened formulation is one of the more drinkable protein enhanced waters that we’ve sampled, especially when considering that it has 20g of protein and added electrolytes. Packaging is a 16.9 oz. PET bottle, which they’ve decorated with a metallic label around the midsection. While the metallic backing makes the label pop from afar, it creates some readability issues even when examining the drink up close. Specifically, only the blue colored text (in this case the product name and the nutritional call outs) are easy to read. This is definitely something that we would improve upon in future versions of the label -- the nutritional content is very important to the consumer who buys this product, so they should be able to read it.
