Red Jacket: Raspberry Apple Juice

Red Jacket has a variety of products that blend apple juice and a secondary fruit, but this one, Raspberry Apple Juice, is our favorite. Like the companies other varieties, this particular flavor is made with a small number of ingredients: apples, raspberries, and vitamin C. The fruit that have been cold-pressed and the juice is pasteurized. The biggest thing that the product has going for it is the simplicity of the flavor -- all you taste are raspberries and apples. And with raspberries in their pure form being a rarity for beverages, it’s definitely a welcome and enjoyable flavor. Otherwise, this product is very much the same as the other Red Jacket flavors, complete with its old fashioned-looking 12 oz. bottle. We’ll reiterate what we said about the company's other products, which is that there seems to be a bigger opportunity out there if it can either be more mainstream or move into the high pressure processed juice category. Plus, we wish there were more variety -- something without apple, for example. Overall, this is a standout flavor for the lineup, but it still feels like it’s in need of refinement.
