BevNET Review

Sambazon’s Blended Breakfast is a product that combines a somewhat standard smoothie base of strawberry and banana with trendy ingredients such as chia, quinoa, and amaranth. The resulting flavor is quite good, with the familiar flavor of strawberry and banana serving as the core flavor while the added acai gives the product a slight twist to both the taste and the consistency (the beverage has that mild grit that you’ll find in all of Sambazon’s drinks). Soy milk, which is the first ingredient, gives the product a subtle milky flavor, and it seems to pair with the banana pretty well. And as for the added grains, they don’t seem to do much more than a slight earthy note to the finish. In terms of this product being a “blended breakfast,” it certainly seems to have all the components of a bowl of cereal. That’s also reflected on the nutrition panel, where the product has fiber, protein, vitamins, omegas, and potassium. On the design front, this product very much follows the standard Sambazon style. However, the front panel is pretty heavily loaded with text, which is something that we could live without (especially if it made more room for the graphic on the bottom). Overall, it’s a very enjoyable product and one of the more innovative flavors that we’ve seen from Sambazon.
