Review: Peach

Trevi Essence Water is an all natural flavored water that is made with water and natural flavors. The aroma of the beverage, which is dead-on accurate for peach, is, unfortunately, the best part of what’s inside the bottle. From there, the initial sip of the product tastes good, but it has an off note at the finish that had us reaching for a drink of water. Plus, the peach flavor lingers, which is not exactly a desirable effect. While the concept seems fine (it’s been done before with success), the formulation is something that needs refinement, either by dialing down the flavoring or figuring out some way to remove the strange finish. The same can be said for their other flavor, Mango Orange. Packaging is straightforward and clean, with a slim looking bottle and a nice looking design on the white label that wraps around the belly of the bottle. The product seems visually on par with other products on the market, although the name is slightly less descriptive and appealing than some of the other brands in the essence water category. Overall, Trevi’s approach seems like one that is marketable, but the execution just isn’t there yet.
