Tumeric Alive’s latest entry its the company's first product to use beets, and the most bright-looking of its products to date. Brooklyn Beet Elixir -- which is being made exclusively for the opening of Whole Foods' new store at Third and 3rd in Brooklyn -- blends beets with a base liquid that appears to be the same as that of TumericALIVE’s core flavors. This blend includes water, coconut nectar, turmeric, ginger, lemon juice, Celtic Sea Salt and spices. The resulting combination is, despite the dark red color, pretty mellow. Turmeric is still the dominant flavor, which is fine, while the beets add a subtle vegetable flavor to the mix. However, we were somewhat surprised to find a lack of sweetness in the product. To that end, its flavor profile is definitely true to what we’ve come to expect from TumericALIVE. All in all, we really like the uniqueness of the product and how refreshing it tastes. Visually, the reddish hues of the liquid, cap and label make the product stand out amongst the company's other flavors. Otherwise, the format and styling of the product are identical to its other products (meaning that it’s polished and looks like a healthy product). Overall, we like what TumericALIVE has created and hope that it continues coming up with unique products like this one.
