Review: Brew Dr. Kombucha Citrus Hops

While we’ve had other hop-flavored kombuchas, this one seems like the best to date. We say this simply because the hop flavor doesn’t result in runaway bitterness as it does in some of the other products out there.

Review: Temple Turmeric Pure Fire Cider & Holiday Spiced Lassi

Temple Turmeric recently launched a couple new seasonal varieties to its line of turmeric-based beverages. Infused with the company's proprietary Hawaiian Oana Turmeric, Temple's Pure Fire Cider Super Tonic and Holiday Spiced Lassi Culture Blend are each unique and exceptional takes on the drink styles.

Review: MetaMatcha

Made with organic matcha, organic ginger syrup, organic apple cider vinegar, chlorophyll, organic ginger extract and organic lemon juice, MetaMatcha has one of the more unique formulations for a matcha-based beverage that we’ve seen. If only the packaging could live up to what's inside the bottle...

Review: Symbiosis Coconut Water

Symbiosis “Truly Raw Coconut Water” is something that sounds impossible: no heat, no high pressure processing, no radiation, no preservatives, not from concentrate, shelf stable (for four months), FDA compliant and USDA Organic certified

Review: Matcha Love Organic

Earlier this year, Ito En extended its Matcha Love brand with a line of ready-to-drink organic products. Available in three unsweetened and zero-calorie varieties, the products are a nice extension of the company's continued foray into matcha and organic beverages.

Review: Fire Cider Unsweetened

Fire Cider's Unsweetened variety has a potent flavor that’s quite heavy on the apple cider vinegar. From there, we taste horseradish, garlic, onions, ginger, and the habanero. While this might not sound overly appetizing, it’s really well-formulated and one of the more unique tasting products that you’ll ever sample.

Review: Asi Yaupon Tea

Asi Tea Company's line of Yaupon Tea products are made with wild harvested, U.S.-grown yaupon, which is sourced from the leaves and twigs of a yaupon tree. The ingreident definitely tastes similar to a black tea, and overall the formulation of the beverages that we sampled are quite nice. The packaging, however, leaves something to be desired.

Review: Mamma Chia – Chia & Greens

Mamma Chia's new Chia & Greens beverages, are, like the company's flagship line, formulated with hydrated chia seeds and packaged in 10 oz. glass bottles. Available in four varieties, the drinks are also made with kale puree and the company's blend of “organic power greens."

Review: Rumble Supershake Coffee Bean

The Coffee Bean flavor of Rumble Supershake is a gluten-free and non-GMO protein drink that has 20g of protein bottle. The protein is dairy-based and is derived from milk protein, calcium caseinate and whey protein. As for the flavor of the product, it’s quite enjoyable, with a rich and creamy texture and coffee flavor that is bold but smooth.

Review: Rebbl Super Herbs (New Varieties)

Rebbl has rolled out three new varieties of its organic "Super Herbs" elixirs, which are formulated with a range of unique ingredients. The line includes Matcha Latte, Turmeric Golden-Milk and Maca Cold-Brew. The drinks are well-formulated, but we feel as though the emphasis on functionality and plant ingredients on the label potentially undermines the expected flavor of the liquid.

Review: H2Melon

The premise of H2Melon is pretty straightforward: take 100 percent watermelon juice, fill it in a bottle, and use high pressure processing to preserve it. The flavor of the product is exactly what you might expect from juicing watermelon.

Review: Juicera Kids

Juicera has added a kids' line to its brand of cold-pressed, high pressured processed juices. Packaged in 10 oz. fully wrapped bottles, the line comes in three varieties: Apple Juice, Lemonade and Pineapple Power.

Review: Revive Kombucha Tropic Wonder

Revive Kombucha’s Tropic Wonder is a beverage made with an earl grey and orange peel kombucha culture, which is then flavored with orange juice, lemon juice, vanilla extract and cayenne. The flavor is smooth and well-balanced, with the light citrus flavor pairing nicely with the flavor of the earl grey tea.
