Day one of BevNET Live Winter '14 featured a slew of standout content and speakers with sage advice on brand building and investment coming from speakers including Duane Primozich, Managing Director, Boulder Brands Investment Group and Tyler Ricks, CMO, Peets Coffee. The morning continued with critical information on opportunities in the drug channel for emerging beverage categories, a presentation and discussion led by Glenn Figenholtz, Division Merchandising Manager of Beverages and Snacks, Walgreens.

Attendees also heard from GT Dave, the founder of top-selling kombucha brand GT's Kombucha, on long-term strategic planning and maintaining passion for an entrepreneurial brand. Brian Reed of IRI and Kathryn Peters of SPINS following Dave's talk with a report on significant growth for natural beverages both natural and conventional channels. The first day concluded with Colin Jones and David Johnson of CAJ International/ Omni Partners speaking about how companies can successfully utilize online store-fronts like Amazon and FreshDirect to help growth their brands.
