Tero Isokauppila is the founder Four Sigmatic, a nature-centric Nordic company specializing in functional superfoods, mushrooms, and adaptogens. Tero’s roots (or mycelium, if you will) are in Finland where he grew up foraging for mushrooms and other wild foods on his family’s farm. He later earned a degree in Chemistry and a Certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition at Cornell University. Gallego is a familiar name if you drink coconut water: he helped launch Vita Coco in 2004 and has worked with the brand ever since. Janica Lane is a managing director at Piper Jaffray focused on providing investment banking and M&A advisory services to consumer companies in healthy, active and sustainable living industries, with a focus on food and beverage, as well as nutritional supplements. Prior to joining Piper Jaffray, Lane was a partner at Partnership Capital Growth, a boutique investment bank providing M&A and private placement services to health and wellness-oriented businesses. Prior to investment banking, Lane was a researcher at Stanford University’s Center for Environmental Science and Policy (CESP) and an equity research associate on Prudential Securities’ energy team. Lane has a Master of Business Administration degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She received dual bachelor's degrees (international relations and Spanish) with Phi Beta Kappa honors from Stanford University. She spent six months living in Santiago, Chile, as part of her undergraduate education and is fluent in Spanish.

Arnulfo focuses on driving value as an operating partner for startup and mid-stage consumer packaged goods companies. Today, as vice president of business development at Califia Farms, Arnulfo leads the Company on strategic growth initiatives and incubating new marketplaces, most recently acting as the head of global eCommerce. At Califia Farms, Arnulfo launched the Company’s first direct-to-consumer eCommerce website and supporting fulfillment ecosystem. Thereby allowing Califia to reach consumers’ doorsteps with its perishable portfolio items to 99% of the zip codes in two days or less. Prior, at PepsiCo’s venturing and innovation business unit, Naked Emerging Brands (NEB), Arnulfo led corporate sales strategy for the business unit’s emerging channels of trade (Natural and eCommerce) across NEB’s brand portfolio. Additionally, Arnulfo served as a founding member of PepsiCo’s Global eCommerce Steering Committee. Previously, while pursuing his MBA at Stanford, Arnulfo pioneered the first line of ready-to-drink all-natural aguas frescas. In 2012 and related to the “Fiscal Cliff “crisis, Arnulfo was 1 of 15 CEOs invited to the White House to meet with President Barack Obama and Vice President Biden. Arnulfo returned to the White House in 2013 as 1 of 30 business leaders for the inaugural Hispanic Business Leaders Forum. Prior, Arnulfo worked at Merrill Lynch, and received his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and his BA from the University of California, Berkeley.

As President of the Beverage Division for Nestlé USA, John leads a portfolio of some of the nation’s best-known beverage brands comprising $2.5 billion in combined annual sales, including Nescafé® Taster’s Choice®; Nescafé® Clasico™, COFFEE-MATE ®; COFFEE-MATE natural bliss ®, and Nesquik®. Under John’s leadership the division has reinvigorated its base brands to meet the needs of consumers’ changing tastes and preferences, successfully expanding into natural and plant-based territories. John has also led the expansion of the division’s coffee portfolio through recent investments in high-potential brands like Chameleon Cold-Brew and Blue Bottle Coffee, both leading providers of premium-crafted coffee. Most recently, Nestlé reached an agreement granting it the rights to market Starbucks consumer and foodservice products globally, outside of the company’s coffee shops. John will lead the commercial collaboration with the new team’s leadership to define the roadmap for the future of Nestlé’s U.S. beverage portfolio. Since he joined Nestlé in 1995, John has held multiple positions both in the U.S. and globally. Prior to his current role, he was President of Nestlé’s Pizza & Snacking Division. Under his leadership, the Pizza Division achieved market share gains while expanding margins and innovating into new territories. John’s innovative management style, for instance, enabled the company to develop internal incubator-brands, including Outsiders Pizza. John holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science and an MBA from The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Grocery Merchandising Coordinator, CSD, Kroger
In 2000, Andrea began her career with Kroger in Raleigh, NC, as a Management trainee. A couple of years later, she was promoted to Store Manger where she went on to manage several stores in the Raleigh area. In 2007, Andrea joined the Human Resources Team as the Division Recruiter for Management. Andrea recruited for Kroger’s Mid-Atlantic division until she was promoted to the Benefits and Administration manager. After working in this position for several years, Andrea had the opportunity to work in the Produce Department as a Sales Plan Manager. Then, in early 2012, Andrea was able to gain further knowledge of the operational side of the business when she was promoted to District Operations Coordinator. Andrea accepted a position as the District Manager in Little Rock, Arkansas in 2012. In 2016, Andrea joined the General Office team as a Division Promotional Coordinator. While working as a DPC, she worked very closely with the Louisville and King Soopers divisions. She was named to her current role in 2016.

G. Scott Uzzell is President and General Manager, Venturing & Emerging Brands, for The Coca-Cola Company. He was appointed to this role in 2014. He is charged with leading VEB to identify and nurture the next billion-dollar brands for The Coca-Cola Company. The current VEB brand portfolio includes Honest Tea, ZICO, illy issimo, Core Power, fairlife Ultra-Filtered Milk, Suja Juice, Aloe Gloe and Hansen’s Natural Brands. Uzzell began his career at Coca-Cola in 1993 in the Minute Maid Division, where he spent nearly three years working across category development and customer teams. He left the company to pursue his MBA and then spent two years with Nabisco before returning to Coca-Cola in 1999 in the Strategy & Planning Function. Since then, Uzzell has held many leadership roles, including Vice President of the McDonald’s U.S. Division and Vice President of Business Development and Emerging Brand Incubation within VEB.

As a seasoned entrepreneur, investor, and operator, Bill Moses is committed to bringing consumers healthy choices in organic and better-for-you products. This passion led him to co-found KeVita Probiotic Drinks Inc., where he served as its Chairman and CEO until selling to PepsiCo in 2016. Today, Bill Moses is the CEO of Disruptive Brands, an investment platform focused on investing in and supporting Consumer brands. He is also Founder and Chairman of both Fermented Sciences Inc. and Cycle Hydrate, Executive Chairman of Iconic Protein, and a board director of both Koia and Wilde Brands.
President & CEO, Peet's Coffee
Dave joined Peet's Coffee as President and Chief Executive Officer in January 2013. He leads the company’s 5,000 employees and business across all channels—Retail, CPG, Food Service, Office, and eCommerce. Prior to joining the company, he served as President of North America for Weight Watchers International, where he led the company’s $1.3 Billion business and 20,000 employees. During his three-year tenure, he strengthened the brand and broadened its relevancy with new advertising campaigns, a modernized retail experience, and launched a new B2B/Healthcare business. Dave spent the prior 20 years at PepsiCo, and was the first person ever to ascend to CMO for Pepsi-Cola North America from an entry-level marketing position. In this position, he led all brand marketing, product and packaging innovation, digital marketing, consumer promotions, sports marketing and consumer insights. Dave received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in History, cum laude, from Middlebury College. He lives in the Bay Area with his wife, their four children and two rambunctious golden retrievers. When not at the office, he enjoys coaching his children in lacrosse and often escapes to Lake Tahoe to indulge in the occasional snowboarding. Favorite Peet’s beverage: Cafe au Lait.
Paddy Spence serves as the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer at Zevia LLC. From 2005 to 2009, Mr. Spence was President at Levlad Inc. He served as the President and Chairman of SPINS, Inc. In 1995, he founded SPINS where he served as the company’s Chief Executive Officer for eight years, tracking the sales of more than 300,000 natural and organic products,before selling SPINS in 2004. Prior to founding SPINS, he served as Kashi’s first head of sales and marketing. Mr. Spence served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Kashi Company from 1992 to 1995. He has also held positions at Harvard Business School's Division of Research, the Center for Leadership and Career Studies at Emory University and United Parcel Service's International Marketing department. Mr. Spence is a Member of Advisory Board of Rippowam Partners LLC. He is a 22 year veteran of the natural/organic industry. Mr. Spence holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and an A.B. magna cum laude from Harvard College.

Jordan Gaspar is a Managing Partner of AccelFoods, an investor in disruptive food and beverage companies. Jordan oversees deal origination, structure and investment execution on behalf of AccelFoods, as well as heads up strategy, investor relations and general management of the fund. She serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Element Snacks and Four Sigmatic, as a board observer to KidFresh, Koia, and SkinnyDipped, and sits on the AccelFoods Investment Committee. Prior to founding AccelFoods, Jordan was an attorney at Morrison Cohen LLP. She graduated from Columbia College and received her J.D. from Fordham Law School. To those in the food and beverage industry, Kyle O’Brien is considered a modern-day visionary. He has a unique ability to identify great entrepreneurs and industry-changing products before they launch and help bring them to market. From Greek yogurt, to sliced and bagged apples, Kyle has carved an impressive notch across the food and beverage landscape. His approach is simple: combine natural ingredients, innovation, and a human element to yield market giants and epic brands. At 22 years old, O’Brien first focused his talent alongside a young entrepreneur whose plan it was to preserve sliced apples by using natural ingredients, such as Vitamin C, and suspending them in gas-flushed, breathable pouches. NextFoods CEO Alan Murray has worked with the beverage industry for more than 20 years, having held various international marketing and general management roles within packaging giant Tetra Pak. As CEO in North America, he worked closely with many leading beverage brands and played a key role in bringing new packaging formats to the U.S. In 2010 he decided to step into the startup world by taking on the CEO role at NextFoods, makers of probiotic juice, GoodBelly. Murray was instrumental in licensing the brand’s patented probiotic technology from Sweden and participated in early activities such as brand creation and pitching to investors. Murray is also Vice Chairman of the publicly listed company SunOpta, a $1 billion global provider of natural and organic foods ingredients. His experience includes board work for private equity and venture backed companies in the packaging and food industries. He has worked closely with CEO’s as coach and sounding board in companies ranging in size from pre-revenue all the way to $1billion. He was the founder of the North American Carton Council, an industry body that serves to promote the recycling of cartons in the US. A graduate of the University of Cape Town, South Africa with a degree in Biochemistry and Applied Statistics, Murray participated in the Unilever Management Development Program and has attended various courses at the Business School IMD in Lausanne Switzerland. He is a Guest Speaker at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business and has taught case studies of his work at London’s Ashridge Business School.

Sharon Brown is the Founder and CEO of Bonafide Provisions. Sharon’s journey in the food business began when she healed her son in 2011, from chronic health issues using a holistic approach to health that incorporated copious amounts of bone broth. This led her to open a private practice in Del Mar California helping 1000’s of patients across the country heal from chronic disease using food and bone broth as a mainstay of her program. She enlisted the help of her chef husband and niece who was a cross fit coach to make a bone broth that met her standards for her clients. Today, her company Bonafide Provisions is the pioneer of Bone Broth, with the #1 selling frozen bone broth in the nation. She recently launched her newest creation “Drinkable Veggies” winning the coveted NEXTY award for “Best New Beverage 2017” at Expo West. Jamie leads Humm with endless energy, abundant optimism and a big heart; traits that have enabled her to find success at numerous startups during a career spanning more than 20 years. Previous to starting Humm she founded and served as CEO of the consulting firm JLD Enterprises before pivoting to create EON Organics, a natural products company with distribution throughout the East Coast. Using the skills and knowledge gleaned from these successes, Jamie built Humm from the ground up and is now focused on defining strategy and leading the overall execution of Humm’s rapid expansion. Her passion for healthy should taste great is rivaled only by her desire to spread joy throughout the world. As a founding board member of Kombucha Brewers International, she is a national leader driving positive advocacy for the kombucha sector. Jamie holds a B.S. in international marketing from Temple University. She is an avid traveler and spends as much time as possible outside, usually on her mountain bike.

Jomaree is an African-American male entrepreneur who was raised in New York City. His career has been a journey that has taken him from helping develop and implement the Salvation Army's September 11th World Trade Center Disaster Relief Program to providing his consulting company’s services for the National Football League, with BS and MBA degree pit stops at the University of Virginia and The Wharton School of Business at UPenn. Currently, he is co-owner and CEO of craft cocktail company, Hella Co. In 4 years, he and his partners have grown a hobby into a nationally distributed premium quality food manufacturer. While his business acumen serves Hella from a strategic, marketing and financial operations standpoint, he continues to learn about the life of a food entrepreneur as an end-to-end experience in the creation and growth of a premium lifestyle beverage brand.

As the Co-Founder and CEO of Chameleon Cold-Brew, Chris Campbell is committed to creating bad-ass organic cold-brew and coffee, while staying true to its Austin roots. Since the initial launch of the flagship Cold-Brew Black Coffee Concentrate in 2010, the brand has seen triple digit growth every year, solidifying its position as the nation’s top organic cold brew. The product portfolio continues to expand with the recent launch of Whole Bean coffee and Cold-Brew Pods. Prior to founding Chameleon, Campbell served as a vice president at Capital Hotel Management and spent eight years at PricewaterhouseCoopers specializing in real estate finance for the hospitality industry. The visionary behind Temple Turmeric's cold-pressed multi-functional beverage line, Daniel Sullivan is a classically trained artist who travelled the world studying cultures, languages and philosophy. Inspired by a passion for yoga, Ayurveda, and pranayama, Sullivan traveled to India, where turmeric had existed for thousands of years as an integral thread of the cultural fabric and daily life. Sullivan was introduced to organic biodynamic turmeric farming on a trip to Maui, Hawaii in 2009, where the pristine volcanic stories introduced him to the multi-functional properties of the ancient "wonder root."

Raj is Director of Strategy and Corporate Development for the WhiteWave Foods Company, a leading consumer packaged food and beverage company in North America and Europe. Since he joined the team in 2014, WhiteWave has closed several transactions, including the strategic acquisitions of Vega (plant-based nutrition), and Wallaby (organic yogurt, kefir and dairy). Prior to joining the corporate development team, he was Director of Strategy and Business Development for WhiteWave’s North American Operations, where he was responsible for helping set the strategic vision of the company, as well as M&A support. Before joining WhiteWave in 2012, Raj was a management consultant (BCG, Bain) as well as investment banker (Morgan Stanley). He holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering / Economics from Northwestern University and a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. He currently lives in Denver, Colorado with his wife, Laura.

Shauna Martin obtained her BA from the University of Central Arkansas and her JD from the University of Arkansas School of Law. She has over 18 years of experience as a corporate attorney, and has obtained a variety of awards recognizing her work, which includes technology law, mergers and acquisitions, financing, and corporate matters. In 2005, Shauna was diagnosed with breast cancer. With a young family to care for, she turned to daily green juicing to recover from the trauma of multiple surgeries and the toxic effects of chemotherapy. After discovering its life-restoring power, she made it her mission to get a green juice into the hands of everyone that she can every day, so that all can thrive as she has. Founding Drink Daily Greens LLC in 2012, Shauna now works to accomplish this mission through crafting new and delicious recipes and selling her Daily Greens, which are now sold in retail outlets nationwide. Although Daily Greens is now her full-time gig, Shauna co-founded Grable Martin Fulton PLLC in 2013, otherwise known as the GeneralCounselHub.com, where she continues as a member today. He spent nearly 30 years with Nestlé and was instrumental in transitioning bottled water from a niche product to the number one beverage in America. Bryan Crowley was named CEO of Soylent in December of 2017 after joining the company as President earlier that year. Crowley leads Soylent’s executive team, in addition to overseeing all day-to-day operations shepherding the company in its mission to leverage science and technology to provide complete, convenient, sustainable nutrition to the world. Crowley began his career in sales at Anheuser Busch and later worked at Con Agra Foods, Mars Inc., Pabst Brewing Company, and VeeV Spirits. Starting in 2010, Mr. Knutson began working with a number of licensed medical marijuana organizations to establish compliant operating procedures. Since that time he has helped shape industry standards surrounding super-critical CO2 extraction techniques and oral liquid medical marijuana delivery systems. Since August 2014, Mr. Knutson has served as the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of CanCore Concepts, Inc. In 2013, Mr. Knutson also co-founded Denver Packaging Company (“DPAC”), a licensed Colorado Medical and Adult-Retail Cannabis Manufacturing company. Additionally, he is a co-founder, Board Member and President of the American Trade Association for Cannabis and Hemp (“ATACH”). In 2012, Kelly and Erik Knutson (brothers) founded Isolate Extraction Systems, Inc. (IES). Since then IES has sold over 50 commercial extraction machines into the regulated Cannabis space. Many of these machines went to start-up businesses in burgeoning medical marijuana states. Together, IES and CCC have assisted dozens of companies in Canada, Puerto Rico, California, Arizona, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Colorado and New York with processing/ extraction operations. Mr. Knutson received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Colorado in 2009.
