The Dad’s Root Beer Company and Racing Professionals Form Strong Partnership for the Indy 500 and Beyond

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – May 22, 2007 – Racing Professionals is thrilled to announce a new partnership between The Dad’s Root Beer Company and their number #19 IndyCar, driven by Jon Herb. The nostalgic soft drink brand is celebrating their 70th Birthday in 2007 and eager to launch a national marketing campaign in collaboration with Racing Professionals, LLC as an IndyCar team sponsor for the 91st running of the Indianapolis 500.

Dad’s Root Beer is one of America’s most popular soft drinks. The beverage was developed in Chicago in February of 1937, and its unique and delicious flavor has earned it a loyal following.

In 2007, Dad’s was purchased along with the Sun Crest, Dr. Wells, and Bubble Up brands by Hedinger Brands, LLC and licensed to The Dad’s Root Beer Company, LLC. The company headquarters is now located in Jasper, Indiana. President and CEO Keith Hedinger said he was, “thrilled to begin the partnership with individuals he feels will also become great friends.”

Herb, who founded Racing Professionals in 2000, is no stranger to the bottling industry and has family ties linked to the Coca-Cola bottler network. He too felt positive about partnering with Dad’s from the start. “When you work with good people, you always win”, said Herb.

The two partners have also noted all of the unique coincidences surrounding the #19. In addition to the team’s car, which will include the Dad’s name in the entry title, The Dad’s Root Company is an Indiana company and Indiana is the 19th state. Dad’s corporate office is located in Dubois County, which is the 19th county in Indiana.

Beyond the coincidences, Dad’s has a new dedication to expanding the distribution network across the country and Racing Professionals looks forward to actively assisting them. Racing Professionals plans to participate in at least two additional races this year, both of which will include support and partnership from The Dad’s Root Beer Company.
