Sunshine Beverages Expands West with New Age Beverages Distribution Partnership

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.—Sunshine Beverages, a fast-growing beverage company based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, is expanding west into select markets and has announced a state-wide launch in Colorado. Sunshine Beverages produces, markets and sells a “better-for-you” energy beverage, branded Sunshine, in three refreshing flavors: Ginger Berry, Blueberry Lemonade and Clementine Twist. Sunshine has concentrated new market expansion within the Southeast and introducing distribution in Colorado will be the brand’s first presence in the West.

As part of the western launch, Sunshine has entered into a distribution partnership with New Age Beverages, a Colorado-based organic and natural healthy functional beverage company with a state-wide distribution network.

Sunshine is bringing new consumers to the energy drink category with a unique, less extreme take on energy. The brand has experienced rapid growth across the Southeast, where retail sales are up more than 200 percent from last year.

Sunshine introduced the brand to Colorado as the first energy drink sponsor of the Great American Beer Festival in late 2018. The festival is one of the largest and most popular craft beer events in the country and has, historically, not partnered with energy drinks. The GABF team and Brewers Association saw Sunshine as a brand and product that aligned well with attendees.

Sunshine describes their products as “feel good” energy, with a balanced blend of vitamins, electrolytes and organic caffeine; but the factor that sets Sunshine most apart from all other energy drinks is its taste.
