For decades, 1800® Tequila has been a major supporter of emerging artists across art, music, and fashion. This Cinco de Mayo, 1800 Tequila, the world’s most awarded tequila brand, is celebrating its heritage and bringing the best in Mexican & Mexican American taste to NYC through the second iteration of its 1800 Taste Tiendita – a speakeasy pop-up shop, the brand is launching for Cinco de Mayo to spotlight local NYC emerging Mexican & Mexican American artists.
Buzzing with energy, ranchera music, local residents, and even the neighborhood bartender – tienditas encapsulate the soul and true taste of Mexico, sharing 1800 Tequila’s authentic heritage. Inspired by the communal and cultural impact of a traditional Mexican tiendita, 1800 Tequila is bringing the spirit of this beautiful culture directly to consumers with a bespoke 1800 Taste Tiendita 18(00) wheeler truck that will embody the spirit, taste, and atmosphere of the best in taste across Mexican and Mexican-American fashion, music, food, and of course, tequila.
Coming off the heels of last year’s 1800 Taste Tiendita in LA – this year, 1800 Tequila will open its second iteration of its 1800 Taste Tiendita to the public (age 21+) on Thursday, May 2 in NYC highlighting the best in Mexican & Mexican American taste through a live performance from Mexico City’s very own Girl Ultra, custom cocktails curated by Chicano bartender, Michael Aredes, tunes by hellotones "el hijo de PueblaYork," mural from visual artist, Melissa Santamaría, curated fashion displays by Creative Director & Stylist, César Alvarez from brands Montserrat Messeguer, de Maria, & Gypsy Sport.
