Kintsugi Sake LLC is excited to announce its impressive, newly formed advisory board leading the launch of multiple sake products. Kintsugi Sake, LLC, founded by industry veteran Buzzy Sklar, is one of the only American-made sake companies. Kintsugi Sake LLC is disrupting the industry and sake traditions, via US breweries in Hot Springs, Arkansas; Charlottesville, Virginia; and Brooklyn, New York.
“Kintsugi is crafted to give consumers what they want in a sake. More accessibility, better taste, better value, and best of all, it’s made in the USA,” says Buzzy Sklar, CEO and Founder of Kintsugi Sake LLC. “Sake, it’s not just for sushi anymore!”
Sklar leads the new board of veterans from the adult beverage industry and business titans including Charles Chand, Todd Dagres, Taylor Foxman, Bruce Levine, David Nichols, Chris Rigby and Mike Warren.
Kintsugi LLC will release two different sake products, the high-end luxury Kintsugi Sake and the more commercial Oishii Sake. All products in the portfolio are made from the best ingredients and still use centuries-old Japanese traditions.
Oishii Sake is brewed in Charlottesville, Virginia using fresh spring water from the Blue Ridge Mountains. Oishii, which means “delicious” or “tasty” in Japanese comes in two types of brews, cloudy or clear, and will launch in mid-July at a suggested retail of $29.99.
Kintsugi Sake #40, the luxury product, will come in a custom box and is a Junmai Daiginjo. Kintsugi #40 is made from the coveted Yamada Nishiki rice taken to a 40 polish, releasing notes of honeydew, pear and fig making it extremely light on the palate. Brewed in Hot Springs, Arkansas at the first net zero sake brewery in the United States, Kintsugi will be very limited in its distribution and priced around $299.00 per bottle.
Founder and CEO, Buzzy Sklar, is the former CEO and Founder of J.F. Haden's Liqueur and Tropical Distillers. Sklar is a South Florida hospitality veteran with over 30 years of experience, having owned and sold several world-renowned restaurant chains such as Burger & Beer Joint, Automatic Slims and Sliderz.
During a successful pre-seed round, Kintsugi Sake LLC raised $1.5 million through private equity.
