Boulder, CO – July 8, 2024 – Hoplark, renowned for its innovative approach to non-alcoholic beverages, is excited to launch its 0 alcohol, 0 calorie Mexican Lager-Style limited release on July 10th. To celebrate the new brew, Hoplark has partnered with Miche Mix, the first and oldest Michelada mix company from Mexico, to bring this spicy and fun Mexican favorite to life throughout the month of July, including an attempt to create the world’s largest N/A Michelada - the Hop-alada - at the celebration of tacos known as Westword Tacolandia in Denver on July 13th.
Hoplark’s product development team continuously experiments with new ingredients to push the boundaries of flavor in the N/A beverage market. The inspiration for the Mexican Lager-Style began with an idea from a team member to use cornsilk in a hop water brewing process. This unique ingredient imparts the distinctive qualities of a lager, resulting in a drink that captures the essence of Mexican beer while remaining alcohol and calorie-free. To perfect the flavor profile, Hoplark hosted a tasting panel with their most dedicated “super fans,” before ultimately selecting a blend of Simcoe and Tettnang hops. The resulting beverage offers a rich aroma of corn, spicy peppers, honey, and crackers, along with tasting notes of corn, grain, herbal and floral hops, and a hint of citrus.
Recognizing the significance of the Michelada—a beer-based cocktail beloved in Mexico and around the world —Hoplark sought to collaborate with Miche Mix, the original company to bottle Michelada mix. Miche Mix’s authentic blend, made from 100% Mexican spices and no tomato juice, complements Hoplark’s Mexican Lager-Style beverage perfectly.
Throughout July, Hoplark and Miche Mix will share a series of Michelada recipes to showcase the versatility of the new brew. Additionally, the partnership will be highlighted at the Westword Tacolandia Event on July 13, 2024, in Civic Center Park, Denver, where they will attempt to create the world’s largest N/A Michelada - the Hop-alada.
Hoplark’s Mexican Lager-Style can be found online while supplies last.
